Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Facilitate age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for preschool and toddler-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and early intervention strategies to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental progress, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols while promoting health practices within the classroom setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in child welfare and safety standards is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
