JOB The purpose of this position is to assist Cemetery maintenance crew with day-to-day duties of operating the City of Lubbock Cemetery. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Drive light trucks to haul supplies and materials such as dirt and caliche.

Operate mowers and other machines of comparable size and complexity.

Maintain and service equipment, machines and trucks.

Assist with various other activities including mowing and edging grass, maintaining sprinkler systems, and removing litter and debris.

Assist in the preparation for funerals.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge of:

Operation and maintenance of motorized equipment typically used in construction or maintenance activities.
Ability to:

Follow oral and written instructions;

Perform maintenance on light equipment;

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds;

Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds;

Frequently stand and walk during a shift;

Frequently climb ladders and inclined surfaces;

Continuously bend and kneel;

Push and pull objects;

Continuously flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially flex at the knees;

Continuously rotate trunk to the right or left while sitting or standing;

Continuously reach arms above, at or below shoulder height;

Coordinate eye, hand and foot movement to operate vehicles.
