Radiology Consultants of Iowa is seeking an experienced medical billing professional to join our team as a Payor Relations Specialist. Candidates must have experience in back-end medical billing processes and the ability to identify health insurance claim issues. They must be detail oriented and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with multiple tasks.
Responsibilities for this position include accurately posting and balancing assigned medical payments, filing health insurance claims in accordance with company policy, identifying health insurance claim issues, working with health insurance payors to recover denied payments through the appeal process. Protecting the confidentiality of patient and company information is an utmost priority.
Applicants must have at least 2 years experience in back end medical billing that includes posting of health insurance and guarantor personal payments and appealing denied claims. Familiarity with health insurance carriers in our geographic region is preferred. Professional certification related to medical insurance and billing is preferred.
