Job Overview
South Shore Community is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role focuses on the upkeep of community fountains, landscaping, and general property maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and clean community fountains and water features
- Inspect and service fountain pumps, filters, and plumbing
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns and landscaped areas
- Plant, prune, and care for shrubs, trees, and flowers
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems
- Perform general handyman tasks (painting, light carpentry, pressure washing, etc.)
- Keep walkways and grounds clean, safe, and free of debris
- Report maintenance issues and assist with seasonal projects
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in grounds or property maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment and irrigation systems
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems (especially fountains)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
