JOB SUMMARY: As an Assembler I at LogistiQ, you will be a part of our manufacturing operations team. The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined, be able to take and follow verbal and written direction and perform well in a teamwork environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly instructions to assist in the construction of conveyor components.
· Understand Bills of Materials (BOMs) to recognize and organize parts, components, and materials required for assembly tasks.
· Use basic hand tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, and pliers, to assist with mechanical assembly.
· Operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and impact drivers under supervision to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
· Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tape measures, levels) to verify component dimensions and alignment.
· Assist in assembling conveyor components: frames, rollers, belts, motors, and drives according to specifications and drawings.
· Support installation of bearings, pulleys, and tensioners, ensuring correct torque and alignment.
· Learn to install and adjust conveyor belts to maintain proper tension and prevent slippage.
· Align and level conveyor frames with assistance.
· Participate in the assembly and installation of chains and rollers, ensuring proper fit and function.
· Follow basic electrical schematics to route wiring and assist in installing sensors, limit switches, motors, and control panels.
· Mount motors and gearboxes securely, ensuring proper alignment with drive systems.
· Assist in the installation of pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, tubing, and fittings; check for leaks and proper air pressure.
· Identify and report mechanical issues during assembly or testing to maintain system Performance.
· Assist in moving heavy components safely using cranes; receives on-the-job training for proper lifting techniques and equipment operation.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to read a tape measure.
· Knowledge of and the ability to use and provide personal basic hand tools, including impact, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
· Ability to be trained and certified on overhead cranes and lockout tagout.
· Wear the required PPE, including safety shoes and safety glasses.
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
· Basic computer data entry skills, including but not limited to clocking on and off jobs in ERP system.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· No experience required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
