The Mission Support Professional and Acquisition Security Subject Matter Experet provides senior‑level advisory and program support to DoD organizations executing highly classified acquisition programs, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAPs).
This role is designed for seasoned professionals who support strategic acquisition governance, program oversight, security‑integrated acquisition execution, and senior‑level coordination, without requiring full‑time engagement. The candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to government leadership, Program Managers, and security stakeholders across acquisition and sustainment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior acquisition and program management advisory support to DoD and Air Force rapid and classified acquisition organizations
- Support program planning, budgeting, and execution oversight for complex, highly classified programs
- Advise government leadership on acquisition risk management, compliance, and integration of security requirements across program life cycle activities
- Support coordination between program management, engineering, contracting, and security functions to enable seamless execution of SAP / SCI programs
- Serve as a subject matter expert in SAP/SCI program life‑cycle management within acquisition environments
- Perform or support Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties for SETA and advisory support contracts, as required
- Assist with development and review of executive‑level briefings, policy documents, and decision memoranda
- Support process improvement and governance initiatives across classified acquisition portfolios
- Provide mentoring and advisory input to government and contractor teams, as requested
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree (technical or analytical discipline preferred)
- At least 20 years of experience supporting DoD acquisition or national security programs
- Demonstrated experience working in SAP and SCI acquisition environments
- Experience supporting program planning, execution, and governance at senior organizational levels
- Experience supporting or overseeing SETA and advisory support contracts, including COR responsibilities
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Desired / Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) or similar rapid acquisition organizations
- Experience integrating security disciplines into acquisition program execution
- Prior experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES), Flag Officers, or equivalent leadership
- Experience supporting enterprise‑level process improvement in classified environments
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition policy as it applies to classified and rapid pathways

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels.
