In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests by monitoring water activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing immediate assistance in emergency situations. Your proactive presence will help promote water safety awareness and deliver exceptional guest services, making every visit memorable and secure for everyone.
Duties
- Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using water rescue techniques.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for swimmers of all ages.
- Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment checks to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards.
- Provide first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and medical emergency response when needed.
- Assist guests with water safety instruction, especially children or inexperienced swimmers, promoting confidence and proper techniques.
- Respond to guest inquiries with friendly customer service, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Perform routine inspections of the aquatic facility to identify hazards, ensure compliance with public safety procedures, and maintain cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and Basic Life Support.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and cleaning protocols.
- Experience working with children or providing water safety instruction is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment or supplies as needed for pool cleaning or maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with public safety procedures and emergency response protocols in aquatic environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to guest interactions.
