You’ll focus on high‑impact roles at Montana State Hospital and other facilities, partnering closely with managers and Human Resources to bring great people into these critical positions.

Job Overview:
This position focuses on full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for DPHHS health care facilities across Montana, with particular emphasis on hard‑to‑fill, high‑impact roles at Montana State Hospital and other facility‑based positions. In addition to managing postings, screening applicants, scheduling and participating in interviews, selections, and processing new hire paperwork, this role supports position classification, compensation review, recruitment‑related policies, procedures, and data tracking to strengthen hiring practices statewide. While the role requires a foundational knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation to ensure compliance, these are not active functional areas for the position.
Because health care facility recruitment directly affects service delivery, staffing stability, and patient care environments, this position has a high level of visibility and impact. In this high-impact role, you will be a partner to facility leadership, hiring managers, and Human Resources to support recruitment, hiring processes, and workforce visibility for some of the department’s most operationally important positions.
What You Will Do
You will partner with Human Resources, facility leadership, and department leadership to:
Lead health care facility recruitment efforts by coordinating recruitment strategies, candidate outreach, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and hiring support for facility-based positions across Montana.
Support hard-to-fill and high-priority hiring needs by helping managers identify recruitment challenges, improve hiring processes, and streamline the time-to-hire for applicants.
Strengthen consistency and recruitment practices by supporting tools, communications, workflows, and process improvements that improve hiring outcomes across health care facilities.
