American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
-
Facility manages 200-300 births per month in a teaching hospital setting
-
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, high-risk antepartum, and low-risk antepartum/LD cases
-
Duties include circulating, OB-GYN care, pre-op/post-op, scrub duties, and couplet care
-
Staffing ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
-
Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
-
Attends all deliveries including high-risk deliveries and assists with GYN surgeries
-
Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set, as well as to sister facilities within the state
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
-
ACLS certification preferred
-
Teaching hospital experience
-
Experience with special procedures including blood/blood product administration, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and defibrillation/cardioversion
-
Experience with medication administration including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
-
Skills in fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, and obstetrical triage
-
Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, and performing sterile vaginal exams
-
2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
-
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
-
Assist with high-risk deliveries and GYN surgical procedures
-
Perform obstetrical triage and fetal monitoring duties
-
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered local
-
Former permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel contractor and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
-
Former permanent employees of other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract after a 3-month separation period
-
This facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits

Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
