SCOPE OF WORK
Responsibilities
This position requires you to be on-site at our Tomahawk location
. Be accountable for the company's performance in the areas of engineering, detailing, and subcontracting of detail drawings.
. Must work closely with Quality Control to ensure detailing standards are meeting the fabricators' needs.
· Accurate and on-time detailed fabrication drawings from design documents using SDS2 detailing software.
· Use of 3D modeling software to produce accurate model of projects
· Determine Bill of Materials
· Communicate with internal customers, primarily Project managers, as well as customers/contractors and if necessary, architects on the project
· Follow established Detailing procedures, standards and guidelines
· Field measure as required to produce accurate shop drawings
· Oversee and review if necessary your teams generated RFI's before sending to our customers
· Must be able to occasionally flex your normally scheduled work hours and/or work overtime to meet deadlines
· Champion and/or embrace process improvements in order to improve efficiency and quality of work produced in the Detailing department.
. Communicate early and often any issues or concerns that may negatively impact our ability to meet deadlines and/or quality expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
. Lead and guide team members
· Able to grasp complex concepts
· Operates in a systematic and logical manner
· Technical training in drafting, mechanical design or relevant work experience
· Experience with SDS2 software preferred. Experience with other CAD software will be considered.
· Ability to read design documents. Ex.: Structural blueprints, Architectural blueprints, Construction documents.
· Familiar with construction processes. Mechanical abilities a plus
· Strong math skills and the ability to visualize the assembly of building components
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Able to communicate in groups and one-on-one
· Working knowledge of structural steel detailing practices, experience in structural steel

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
