Missouri Flat Animal Hospital is looking for two compassionate, dependable full-time Veterinary Assistants to join our growing team. We are entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership and are looking for team members who are eager to grow with us.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with both clients and coworkers, and genuinely cares about providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Proper restraint and handling of dogs and cats
- Collecting laboratory samples and running in-house diagnostics
- Preparing and monitoring surgical patients
- Taking radiographs
- Administering medications and treatments as directed
- Cleaning, stocking, and maintaining treatment areas
- Educating clients on medications and home care
- Maintaining accurate medical records
Qualifications:
- One year of previous veterinary experience required
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable with a positive attitude
- Able to lift and restrain animals safely
