Job Overview We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and dedicated Restaurant Captain / Head Waiter (Capo Sala) to join our team at Sullaluna in the West Village. In this role, you will be the face of our dining room, leading the front-of-house team while delivering exceptional hospitality. This position is perfect for someone who loves Italian culture, thrives in a vibrant environment, and enjoys both leadership and direct guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Floor Leadership: Lead and supervise the restaurant staff during shifts, ensuring smooth service flow, coordinating the server team, and maintaining high hospitality standards.
- Table Service: Provide excellent hands-on service, including greeting guests, taking orders, describing menu specials, and handling tables with care.
- Teamwork: Train and motivate team members, manage shift flow, and coordinate closely with the kitchen team.
- Guest Relations: Build relationships with our community and handle guest feedback with grace and professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Captain, Head Waiter, or Floor Manager in a restaurant environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Ability to speak Italian is a strong plus, but not mandatory (we welcome anyone with the right passion and attitude!).
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
