Welder / Fabricator – Full-Time
Location: Matthews, NC / Charlotte Production
Pay Rate: $26–$30/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 AM–12:30 PM
Overtime: As required
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This position is responsible for fitting, welding, assembling, and fabricating structural and production components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and consistent production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding – Pulse (GMAW-P) and related welding processes.
- Fit, assemble, and fabricate steel components according to specifications.
- Measure, cut, prepare, and position materials for welding and fabrication.
- Inspect completed welds and ensure work meets quality standards.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and quality expectations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production, quality, and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional welding/fabrication experience required.
- Strong experience with structural or industrial fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with GMAW-P or related welding processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and fabricate materials.
- Ability to operate grinders, saws, cranes, and other fabrication equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certification(s).
- Trade school or technical training.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with structural steel fabrication.
