American Traveler is seeking a certified Operating Room Technician with thoracic/vascular experience for a 13-week travel contract in a Level I Trauma, 1,000+ bed academic hospital OR Float Pool.

Large academic hospital OR Float Pool setting with 56 OR suites (inpatient and outpatient) and 5 procedural rooms
-
Level I Trauma center treating adult patients across a wide range of surgical specialties
-
Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary

Primary assignment on the Thoracic/Vascular team, with proficiency in endovascular cases required

Adult patient population only; pediatric OR is a separate facility

12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9a–9p; specific days vary based on unit need and a block schedule is not available

Late stay coverage required based on unit needs

Float within the OR is possible, but not between facility locations

Minimum of 2 years of OR scrub experience required

Thoracic/vascular surgical experience required

Proficiency in endovascular cases required for this assignment

Prior travel experience required

NBSTSA certification required and must be on file at time of consideration

License required if applicable

Scrub and circulate across a broad range of surgical specialties in a high-volume Level I Trauma OR

Thoracic/vascular team scrubs will be expected to take late stays as needed

This is a high-acuity academic environment; candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible OR setting
