Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Part-Time Cashier to join our Libertyville Thrift Store team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a retail environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service at the register
- Accurately process purchases using a point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Support overall store operations as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members and volunteers
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working in an active retail environment
Availability Requirements:
- Weekdays Afternoons/Evenings
- Weekend availability
