CNC Lathe Machinist (Mill Turn)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist (Mill Turn) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating CNC Lathe machines. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components according to specifications. The CNC Machinist will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Conversation program, set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to manufacture a variety of short parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Make machine adjustments as necessary.
- Program machines.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and enhance product quality. Must also work well as an individual.
- Maintain product quality.
- Suggest resolutions to quality issues or concerns
- Be willing and open to adapting to multiple jobs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist in an aerospace environment, required
- Experience with Mazak machines, preferred
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Strong commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
