Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to be available to work every other weekend with 7-3 , 3-11 and 11-7 shifts available to oversee nursing operations . The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, nursing management, and clinical procedures within diverse healthcare settings. As an RN Supervisor, you will lead a team of nursing staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture of excellence in patient care. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff during the overnight shift, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation with precision and attention to detail.
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, and other clinical interventions in accordance with best practices.
- Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
- Manage staffing levels, delegate tasks effectively, and support team members.
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience managing nursing teams within acute care or hospital medicine units.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and sterile techniques such as suturing or catheterization.
- Familiarity with specialized care areas including geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health, pediatrics (PICU), neonatal ventilator management, or assisted living environments.
