About TNT Kidz Center LLC
TNT Kidz Center is more than an early learning program—we focus on raising thoughtful, capable, and confident children through meaningful experiences. Our approach blends play-based education, outdoor learning, and age-appropriate risk-taking to help students build strong character traits such as empathy, perseverance, accountability, and bravery.
We are currently seeking a Lead Afterschool Teacher who values experiential learning and enjoys guiding children as they grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support character development and foundational academic skills
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where kindness, safety, respect, and responsibility are consistently practiced
- Safely transport students (TK/K through 7th grade) to and from designated locations (clean driving record required)
- Support outdoor and all-weather learning experiences that promote problem-solving, confidence, and independence
- Lead hands-on projects and group activities that encourage creativity, collaboration, and curiosity
- Observe and respond to individual student needs, offering appropriate guidance and early support when necessary
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and developmental milestones
- Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming learning space
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and effective conflict-resolution skills
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their overall development
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and classroom best practices
- Previous experience in preschool, afterschool, outdoor, or alternative education settings
- Comfort with active learning, outdoor play, and hands-on exploration
- Confident classroom leadership paired with a team-oriented mindset
- Clear, respectful communication with students, families, and colleagues
Education Requirements
- Minimum of 12 post-secondary semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including:
- Child Growth & Development
- Child, Family & Community
- Program & Curriculum
- ECE Elective (Infant/Toddler Development required if working with infants)
- OR 20 working hours per unit required (240 hours total) in a licensed childcare program.

Pay Range: $19.00–$21.00 per hour
