Overview
This role serves as the operational right hand to ownership and is responsible for the performance, growth, and execution of a multi-location wellness company.
The Director of Operations & Growth oversees studio managers, business performance, hiring, training, community partnerships, marketing execution, and operational excellence across multiple locations. This individual plays a critical role in translating vision into execution, ensuring goals are achieved, teams are developed, standards are maintained, and growth initiatives move forward consistently.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing both people and outcomes. They know how to build accountability, develop leaders, improve performance, create scalable systems, and drive results without requiring constant oversight.
This position offers significant influence on the future growth of the organization and works closely with ownership on expansion, leadership development, and company-wide initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Directly manage and develop Studio Managers across multiple locations
- Lead weekly leadership meetings and performance reviews
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop leadership talent
- Oversee training programs and leadership development initiatives
- Build succession plans and maintain hiring pipelines for key positions
- Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance
Business Performance & Accountability
- Monitor revenue, retention, utilization, package sales, memberships, and client experience metrics
- Identify performance gaps and implement action plans to improve results
- Build accountability systems that drive consistent execution
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance audits
- Hold managers accountable to goals, standards, and key performance indicators
Growth & Community Development
- Develop and oversee community partnerships, referral relationships, influencer initiatives, and local events
- Support local growth initiatives that increase visibility, client acquisition, and retention
- Oversee execution of promotions, campaigns, and community engagement efforts
- Ensure each location maintains a strong presence within its market
Operations & Systems
- Ensure operational standards are consistently maintained across all locations
- Conduct location audits and operational reviews
- Build and improve systems, processes, scorecards, and reporting tools
- Improve communication, workflows, and operational efficiency
- Support future location openings and expansion initiatives
- Reduce owner involvement in day-to-day operations through strong leadership, accountability, and scalable systems
Marketing Execution
- Oversee execution of local marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Ensure content is consistently captured and delivered to marketing resources
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and support partners to ensure initiatives are completed effectively and on schedule
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Experience managing managers and/or multiple locations
- Strong operational, organizational, and business acumen
- Proven ability to improve performance and drive measurable results
- Experience leading teams through growth and change
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
