We are seeking an experienced and motivated Overhead Door & Loading Dock Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for leading installation, service, and repair projects while ensuring exceptional customer service, quality workmanship, and adherence to all safety standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong leadership abilities, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial overhead doors, loading dock equipment, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, seals, shelters, and related systems.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers by communicating project status, answering questions, and providing effective solutions.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and job specifications to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Perform final quality inspections before project completion.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, ladders, and other job-related equipment.
- Complete all required documentation daily, including work orders, job notes, photos, part numbers, labor hours, and timecards.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a residential or commercial Overhead Door and/or Loading Dock Technician.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities.
- - Previous leadership, crew lead, or supervisory experience preferred.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accurate documentation.- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Above-average mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, pulling, climbing, kneeling, squatting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scissor lifts, and elevated work platforms.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
