Sales Executive – International Freight Forwarding

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our growing team in Irvine, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting our international logistics solutions, including air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and domestic transportation.
The ideal candidate has experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is passionate about delivering value-added supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, referrals, and customer visits.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Promote international air freight, ocean freight (FCL/LCL), domestic transportation, warehousing, and logistics solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing in coordination with the Operations and Pricing teams.
- Negotiate service agreements and close profitable business opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their logistics requirements and providing customized solutions.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Customer Service, and overseas offices to ensure successful shipment execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts using CRM software.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking activities when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 years of sales experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, import/export procedures, and Incoterms.
- Existing customer relationships within Southern California are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Japanese or Asian multinational companies.
- Japanese language ability is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of customs brokerage and warehouse operations.

Working Conditions
- Office-based in Irvine, California.
- Frequent local customer visits throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire.
- Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
