Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician supports production by following detailed manufacturing plans, preparing and assembling parts, and ensuring high-quality finished products. This role works in a fast-paced, technically focused environment and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Responsibilities

Review resident manufacturing plans to understand detailed instructions, specifications, and requirements for each job.

Verify that all necessary parts, materials, and tools are available before starting work.

Utilize the specified layup mold (LM) or mandrel according to the manufacturing plan.

Complete the layup of parts strictly in accordance with the manufacturing plan and specifications.

Inspect each step of the process for quality and for the presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD), addressing any issues immediately.

Visually inspect finished parts to ensure they meet all specified quality and dimensional requirements.

Bag finished parts according to specifications to protect and prepare them for the next stage of production.

Place completed parts on designated outgoing production shelves for further processing or shipment.

Participate in continuous improvement activities by supporting and implementing change management processes and best practices.

Assist in developing, refining, and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production operations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with housekeeping and 5S principles.

Return all tools, equipment, and materials to their proper locations upon completion of jobs.

Properly handle and dispose of any hazardous materials in accordance with established procedures.

Follow all health and safety guidelines and company safety rules at all times.

Use all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each task.

Identify existing or potential problems in processes or products and propose effective solutions.

Evaluate options, weigh consequences, and implement appropriate actions to resolve issues.

Seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas for efficiency and quality enhancements.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, leaders, and other internal contacts.

Essential Skills-
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
The role operates in a production and manufacturing setting that is fast-paced and technically focused. The work involves frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. The position requires regular performance of repetitive motions and frequent handling, pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity is required to perform tasks at or within arm’s reach, including detailed inspections of parts and materials. The environment emphasizes safety, with mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to safety rules and guidelines, and strong housekeeping practices. The physical nature of the work is described as mild compared to many roles at other manufacturers, and there are significant opportunities for overtime for those who wish to increase their hours. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayden, ID.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
