Job description- Human Resources/Payroll Generalist
Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and VP-HR Manager, the “HR/Payroll Generalist” position will assist with day-to-day HR functions such as administering employee benefits, enforcing company policies and ensuring legal compliance in all company matters. Detailed-ordinated and accurate payroll will be ran biweekly as a main duty. A strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are required.
Essential Functions
- Assists with routine HR tasks including, but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, unemployment claims processing, and disciplinary documentation/action.
- Use Paycom to process biweekly payroll, salary increases and enroll employees in benefits.
- Verify supervisors have approved all timecards/timesheets for biweekly payroll.
- Print/scan all payroll reports. Provide documents as needed for audits or salary increases.
- Enroll or terminate employees as necessary on vendor websites
- Monthly Reconciliation of all Health, Dental, Life and Voluntary insurance bills and enter g/l codes on each to send to A/P
- Process and track of any PTO, Vacation accruals and/or Leave of Absence time and paperwork.
- Balance and Submit 401(k) employee/employer contributions bi-weekly after payroll is processed
Required Skills/Abilities
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
- College degree required.
- At least 3 years of human resource experience required.
- Experience with Paycom preferred.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional responses to calls or emails after hours.
