American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend day shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Dallas, TX, requiring 2+ years of recent CT and Radiology experience.

Long-term acute care hospital radiology/CT scan department in Dallas, TX
-
Weekend-only schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts)

On-call opportunities available if desired

Must be able to work independently

Experience with GE CT and X-ray equipment required
-
8-week contract
-
Minimum 2 years of recent CT and Radiology experience

ARRT certification in both CT and Radiology required
-
Current BLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)

Texas CT/Radiology license required (license required if applicable)

Proficiency with GE CT and X-ray machines
-
Ability to work independently without direct supervision

SSN and date of birth required for consideration
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

All certifications must be valid and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Perform diagnostic CT exams, verify patient identity, and review medical records for exam appropriateness
-
Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history, assess risk factors including medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators
-
Explain procedures and potential side effects, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients
-
Review acquired images, make initial observations, document protocol exceptions, and communicate findings to the radiologist
-
Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate and provide post-care instructions to patients
-
Participate in radiology process improvement activities including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction

May provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees
-
May perform Radiologic Technologist duties as needed

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
-
Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or contract capacity must be disclosed during the consideration process
