About the Role
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of The Goddard School, supporting the School Director in all aspects of managing the school and ensuring a positive and enriching experience for children, families, and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support:
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play.
- Maintain positive relationships with children and families.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, such as attendance tracking, record-keeping, and communication with families.
- Support the School Director in managing school operations, including scheduling, ordering supplies, and maintaining licensing compliance.
- Assist with enrollment processes and parent communication.
- Parent Communication and Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents.
- Address parent concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with parent events and school activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Associates Degree
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Passion for working with young children and fostering their growth and development.
