About the Role
RISE Community Hospital DFW is seeking a dynamic Radiology Manager / Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to join our leadership team. In a small community hospital setting, you get the best of both worlds: high-level operational responsibility and true connection with patients and staff. You won't just sit behind a desk—you'll lead department strategy, manage regulatory compliance, mentor technologists, and step into clinical rotation (X-Ray/CT) when extra hands are needed.
What You’ll Do
● Lead Department Operations: Oversee daily workflow, scheduling, budgeting, and equipment maintenance contracts for Diagnostic X-Ray and CT.
● Serve as Radiation Safety Officer: Direct our Radiation Safety Program under Texas DSHS guidelines, ensuring full regulatory compliance, ALARA protocols, and badge monitoring.
● Support Your Team: Step onto the floor to perform CT and X-Ray scans during peak volume or to provide coverage, leading by example with high clinical standards.
● Build Culture: Mentor staff, build collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, and maintain high patient satisfaction standards.
Licensure & Certifications (Required)
● Texas MRT License: Active General Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
● ARRT Certification: Active R.T.(R)(ARRT) and (CT) registry or demonstrated clinical competency in CT.
● Texas RSO Qualified: Meets criteria to be listed as RSO on the hospital’s Texas DSHS registration.
● BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
Experience
● 3+ years of hands-on experience in Diagnostic X-Ray and Computed Tomography (CT).
● 2+ years in a supervisory, team lead, or managerial role within a hospital or clinic setting.
● Prior RSO experience or formal radiation safety training strongly preferred.
