Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
- Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest services by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Support the restaurant team by handling POS transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest experience
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and hospitality knowledge to foster guest relations and positive interactions
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong restaurant reservation management skills and familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills, with a friendly and energetic personality
- Experience in food service, with an understanding of restaurant operations and food safety standards
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
- Effective phone communication skills and proper phone etiquette
- Organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a lively environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
