We are seeking someone who is in this position currently, and who is looking for a refreshing opportunity with an extraordinary and renowned ECE center and preschool.
We are seeking a professional-minded candidate, who has a associate's/bachelor's degree.

The director responsibilities for this position include the following (in order):
- 1. Overseeing/assisting in the operations of the school, with focus on licensing/DHS and regulations/standards for PA.
- 2. Maintaining and pursuing all necessary updates for child and employee files.
- 3. Developing or implementing a "system" that your co-directors can collaborate with.
- 4. Circulating throughout our school to visit our classrooms for observations & evaluations, in an amicable and constructive way.
The director responsibilities for this position do NOT include:
- Payroll, tuition collection, expenses, billing, nor similar financial responsibilities.
- Touring prospective families
- Marketing, social media, advertising, hiring, job posting, etc.
- Trash disposal, maintenance, vendors/contractors, repairs, etc.
- Uncomfortable/challenging parent meetings
- Growing our enrollment, nor achieving enrollment goals
- Create newsletters, calendars, nor any creative/artistic communications

Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree, preferably in any education-related field.
- Experience... preferably one-two years, however we are equally interested in the responsibilities, accomplishments, success, track record, and the prosperous story of your career in child care leadership.
- Communication skills... equally in verbal as in typed... specifically, email communication to staff and parents is a non-negotiable strength... emphasizing proper, polite, respectful, and professional communication at all times.
- Further, in regard to communication...
Are you comfortable asking questions when in need of clarity or the appropriate next steps, and are you comfortable pausing in the moment to ask for an owner's assistance?
- Organization is a very necessary qualification. Keeping our main office in tip-top order in regard to child and staff files, as well as all state and regulatory documents, is paramount in regard to organization.
- Here is one other key qualification that we are seeking... that very unique and very special ability to multi-task... however, not with office tasks, but with other human beings. Can you keep a smile and a cool & collected demeanor amidst some momentary chaos? Can you keep your responsibilities in mind, while realizing we are here for each and every child? Can you assume a leadership role, while maintaining respect for authority? Can you actively listen, while thinking ahead, pausing, and asking for an owner's assistance? Can you manage the paperwork, but also know (and focus on getting to know) all our children and families? These are general scenarios; we hope each candidate understands the context and the greater perspective and purpose.

The Goddard School in Bala Cynwyd is an accredited school (Cognia) and a "Circle of Excellence" school within Goddard School Systems.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
