MHC Recreation Specialist
Salary: $21 - $23/hr

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is accepting applications for MHC Recreation Specialist, who will assist with the planning, organizing, and supervising of Mildred Hunter programs. Work involves performing duties of part-time personnel in their absence; assisting with scheduling of the use of athletic facilities, preparing requisitions and reimbursements for maintenance expenses, purchasing and delivering supplies and equipment for program; addressing inquiries regarding program by electronic mail and telephone; preparing facilities for use; and performing other duties as assigned. Reports to the Mildred Hunter Center Recreation Manager.
Location: 509 South Fry St., Valdosta, GA 31601
Hours of operation: MHC Recreation Specialists work both traditional and untraditional hours including weekends and nights.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. High School Diploma, GED, or related field supplemented by one year of responsible experience in recreation programming, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
