Responsibilities and Duties
Mobility Assistance: Expertly assisting with safe patient handling, transferring, and positioning throughout the home.
Homemaking Excellence: Maintaining a safe, sanitary environment through light housekeeping, including vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, laundry, and linen changes.
Nutritional Support: Meal planning and preparation according to specialized dietary instructions and hydration goals.
Transportation & Advocacy: Providing reliable transportation and support services for errands, grocery shopping, and essential medical appointments.
Personal Hygiene Care: Dignified assistance with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and shaving/perineal care.
Medication Management: Providing timely medication reminders and monitoring for changes in condition.
Specialized Dementia Care: Implementing memory care techniques and cognitive engagement for clients with Alzheimer’s or related dementias.
Companion Care: Enhancing quality of life through person-centered companionship, music therapy, puzzles, and meaningful social interaction.
Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:
High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. without assistance.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance and registration.
Pass a state and national background check.
CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
