Assists in providing and delivering specific ancillary services to residents as they pertain to transportation of resident to and from certain prescribed destinations.
Receives and follows schedules/instructions from the RCFE Health Service Assistant/Coordinator and RCFE Health Service Manager.
Performs routine emergency driving assignments to medical clinics and hospitals; performs various driving errands including recreation trips, as needed.
Assist residents with or without wheelchairs in and out of vehicles.
Follows through on completion of assignments, overcoming obstacles and increasing efforts where necessary.
Responsible for petti-cash for medical co-payments, Kaiser pharmacy, CVS pharmacy, etc. Reconcile monthly billing, complete coding, submit for approval by RCFE Health Service Manager and submit for payment.

When off campus, maintains contact with Masonic Homes via cell phone as needed and calls 911 in case of a medical emergency.
Performs basic safety inspections prior to any assigned trip. Records mileage and gas before and after trip.
Attends to mechanical/body damage, by reporting it immediately to Director of Environmental Services.
Reports and responds to all emergencies as needed. Learns and understands Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Works independently and within a team on special and non-recurring and ongoing projects.
Makes practical decisions and recommendations reflecting logical analysis of problems and/or issues.
Conveys information in a concise, accurate and understandable manner. Displays attentiveness, tact, and diplomacy in responding to others.
Receives and initiates calls.
Trains new staff on vehicle inspections, emergencies, and transferring residents in and out of vehicles. Train staff on proper usage of transporting residents in and out of handicap accessible van.
Attendance of mandatory department meetings and in-service education.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Assist residents with needs as appropriate.
