POSITION SUMMARY
We are leading the fight against poverty and are searching for a talented Grocery Manager (Manager, MSGP) to support and manage our various on-site, member share grocery programs. In this role, you will manage and schedule grocery staff and volunteers, work directly with clients, donors and vendors, create and maintain grocery displays and participate in leadership meetings to continuously improve our grocery operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
· Responsible for managing purchasing and inventory within grocery program to ensure shelves are replenished, products rotate in compliance with expirations and product sales are maximized to increase revenue and support grocery members.· Ensure grocery program is operating within company standards, including related to sanitation, maintenance, and general operations.· Provide direct oversight to all grocery staff including cashiers and stock associates while supporting high levels of productivity and engagement. · Manage staff and assist MSGP senior management with aspects of hiring, terminating, training, and mentoring.· Conduct Safety training to ensure employees and members always have a safe environment. · Ensure standards for quality and customer service are met at all times.· Ensure that all company and department policies and procedures are adhered to at grocery locations.
· Oversee food handling safety and monitoring for the program, resolve and report concerns as needed.
· Lead and/or participate in all other department initiatives as needed.
ESSENTIALS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
· Previous grocery experience is required.
· Strong communication skills and leadership skills.
· Ability to multi-task effectively within a rapidly changing environment.
· Positive attitude even in the face of adversity.
· Effective decision making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a grocery or retail atmosphere in a similar role.
· Previous supervisory experience preferred.
· SERVSAFE certification will be a required if not already obtained.
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and move frequently throughout the day. Ability to bend, push, pull and lift items of 25lbs or more required.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
