We are seeking an energetic part-time Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a true “people person” who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating a guest experience that keeps people coming back.
The Assistant Manager will help oversee smooth lunch and/or dinner services, support both front- and back-of-house operations, and maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, teamwork, and efficiency. This position requires a problem solver with restaurant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and leadership will play an important role in supporting our team, by helping ensure every guest has a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily lunch and/or dinner service to ensure smooth operations
- Support and guide front-of-house staff during service
- Monitor guest experience and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Communicate clearly between the front and back of house
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and staff assignments
- Ensure the dining room, restrooms, host stand, and service areas remain clean and organized
- Help manage reservations, seating flow, and wait times
- Monitor food quality, ticket times, and overall service efficiency
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Handle cash-outs, server checkouts, and basic end-of-shift reporting
- Enforce company policies
- Step in where needed during busy shifts, including hosting, serving, running food, or helping behind the bar when appropriate -- Be willing to help where needed and be able to recognize where help is needed!
- Help maintain a positive, professional work environment
- Report operational issues, staffing concerns, or guest feedback to upper management
Qualified candidates should have prior restaurant experience, a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and guests. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, dependable, professional, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Previous restaurant experience required; management or supervisory experience preferred but we are willing to train the right person if they have relevant restaurant experience
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine hospitality-focused attitude
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable communicating between both front- and back-of-house staff
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or stressful shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations, including seating flow, service standards, and guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle guest concerns with patience and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to step in wherever needed to support the team
- Basic cash handling and Micros POS experience preferred

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
