C3 Sports & Event Center is a growing sports, events, and community facility focused on delivering high-quality experiences and expanding programming, events, and partnerships in the State College area.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring strong execution across scheduling, events, staff, and customer experience. This role works closely with the Executive Director to improve systems, drive revenue growth, and build a scalable, professional operation.
The successful candidate will not simply maintain the operation. We are looking for someone who will help build it.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations, scheduling, and readiness
- Lead execution of tournaments, events, rentals, and programs
- Maintain strong communication across internal teams and partners
- Build relationships with customers, teams, and event organizers
- Identify and drive revenue opportunities (events, leagues, rentals, partnerships)
- Monitor facility usage, staffing, and operational efficiency
- Supervise, schedule, and develop staff
- Ensure excellent customer service and professional event experiences
- Maintain organized systems, procedures, and compliance with safety standards
- Track performance, expenses, and key operational metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years in sports, events, hospitality, or operations
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with a growth mindset
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, or operations systems is a plus
Schedule
Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends based on events and facility needs.
Compensation
- $55,000–$65,000 base salary
- Performance bonus potential up to $15,000
