Job Responsibilities
- Respond to property service requests and work orders in a timely, efficient manner
- Assess and repair interior and exterior issues including items such as light electrical, carpentry, lock issues, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, painting, battery and light bulb replacements, etc.
- Perform light landscaping, such as hedge trimming, mowing, and debris cleanup
- Build and maintain roadside signage
- Maintain outdoor appearance at guest check-in
- Install locks, thermostats, and sensors
- Assemble items such as furniture or other owner ordered materials
- Troubleshoot in-home technology, including TVs and Wi-Fi
- Complete exterior maintenance on homes prior to guest check-ins
- Perform off-season inspections to provide owners with a snapshot of items that need addressed
- Utilize company software and app to provide accurate, detailed, and timely information on work orders and calls
- Communicate and interact effectively and courteously with homeowners, guests, vendors, and coworkers
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked company maintenance vehicle
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment of company facility and rental properties
- Complete office repairs
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in maintenance, preferably with residential properties or relatable service environment
- Self-motivated and demonstrate initiative to complete duties and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Team player willing to help out their coworkers, especially during the busier summer and shoulder seasons
- Knowledgeable of common repair issues found in rental homes
- Willing to work on-call and respond to/resolve after-hours emergencies, especially during the busier summer and shoulder seasons
- Basic carpentry skills- stair treads, porch decking, drywall patching, etc.
- Intermediate diagnostic skills- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance
- Able to handle the stress of a high-demand hospitality environment
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and independence
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation to company facility
- Smartphone required
- Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays
Schedule
- Full-time position
- In-season schedule requires weekend work
- Some holiday shifts required
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay is $18 to $20 per hour based on experience
