Part-Time Delivery Driver / Store Associate
Position Summary
The Part-Time Delivery Driver / Store Associate is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to customers in a timely and professional manner. As a primary face of the company, this role requires a high level of professionalism, reliability, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will strictly follow all company policies, delivery procedures, and safety guidelines. Between delivery runs, this employee is expected to maintain a proactive attitude, assist on the retail floor, and ensure they remain productive.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Deliveries: Safely transport and deliver products to customers’ homes and designated locations following assigned routes and schedules in a timely manner.
Order Verification: Verify delivery orders to ensure all items are correct prior to leaving the store.
Technology: Operate an iPad or Mobile device for delivery tracking and operations.
Customer Service: Provide courteous, professional service during customer interactions and obtain required signatures or delivery confirmations.
Logistics: Load and unload products as required; maintain clear communication with store staff regarding delivery status or issues.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and traffic laws. Report any accidents, delays, or delivery concerns to management immediately.
In-Store Support: Help customers on the sales floor, sweep, mop, and fill shelves between delivery runs.
Stocking: Work inside the walk-in cooler to organize and replenish cold merchandise.
Productivity: Maintain constant productivity and stay busy when not actively completing deliveries.
Compensation & Tip Policy
Base Pay: $15.00 per hour plus mileage
Digital Tips: Eligible for digital tips; these will be split evenly (down the middle) if more than one driver is on shift.
Cash Tips: Kept entirely by the driver and will not be tracked by the company.
Qualifications
Permits & Licensing: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain and maintain, a valid employee liquor permit/license.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
Licensing & Record: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Background Checks: Ability to pass a criminal background check and a motor vehicle driving background check.
Screenings: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen followed by mandatory annual drug screenings.
Vehicle & Insurance: Must have reliable transportation capable of performing delivery duties, maintain current auto insurance, and continuously provide proof of coverage.
Technical Skills: Tech-friendly or willing to learn.
Physical Requirements
Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and drive for extended periods.
Loading: Ability to load and unload delivery items as needed.
Environment: Ability to handle cold temperatures while working inside the walk-in cooler to stock shelves or fulfilling deliveries.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
