We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to support and maintain workplace health and safety programs across our organization. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the workplace.
The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable in occupational safety practices, and capable of conducting training, inspections, investigations, and compliance reporting in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program Administration
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company safety policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and other applicable health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, certifications, and documentation
- Coordinate and track employee safety training and certifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety
Workplace Inspections & Audits
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions
- Recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
Incident Investigation
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents
- Prepare incident reports and root cause analyses
- Recommend preventative measures to reduce future incidents
- Coordinate workers’ compensation documentation as needed
Employee Training & Communication
- Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training sessions
- Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and programs
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency preparedness drills
- Communicate safety expectations clearly across all departments
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies where applicable
- Assist during regulatory inspections and audits
- Maintain SDS records and hazard communication programs
- Monitor updates to safety laws and industry standards
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- OSHA 510
- BCSP Certified (CSP, CHST, OHST) required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of safety coordination or occupational safety experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting software

- OSHA 30 Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
Pay: $40,000.00 - $68,140.96 per year
