PUSKAR PRECISION is a well-established machined parts manufacturer supplying the Defense and Aerospace industry with precision machined parts.
The candidate is mainly responsible for the development of CMM programs to inspect complex close tolerance machined aerospace components. The ideal candidate has an extraordinary knowledge of programming and the ability to communicate effectively with management and operations personnel. The candidate will analyze and validate the quality of machined parts and parts undergoing outside processes such as heat treating, plating, shot-peening, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and running CMM programs using MCOSMOS
- Applying strong geometric understanding to choose the appropriate features and methods for alignment and measurements
- Optimizing new and existing CMM programs for efficiency while maintaining accuracy
- Documenting Inspection & Control Plans for made-to-order machined parts
- Train and mentor Quality Engineers on CMM software and techniques
- Providing support to upper management and all other operation personnel as needed
- Supporting organizational policies, goals, and objectives
- Contributing in the creation and implementation of improved quality procedures
- Performing statistical analysis and creating technical reports
- Ensuring nonconformance products are processed per standard operating procedures
- Identifying recurring issues and proactively developing remedies
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess exemplary knowledge of CMM programming
- Must show command of spatial and geometric understanding and demonstrate mastery in high-level alignment techniques
- Must have strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to apply those principles during CMM programming and report interpretation
- Previous experience working as a CMM programmer for an Aerospace parts provider strongly preferred
- Must have the ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Must be able to determine the correct specifications and process instructions for each part and communicate with co-workers regarding any issues, concerns or changes of instructions pertaining to parts
