About the Role
As a Tax & Accounting Manager, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to our clients while leading accounting and tax engagements for small businesses and individuals. You'll work closely with business owners to provide proactive guidance, solve complex tax issues, and help clients achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate income tax returns
- Conduct tax research and provide practical solutions to client questions
- Prepare tax projections and identify tax planning opportunities
- Prepare and review sales tax, payroll tax, tangible personal property tax returns, and Forms 1099
- Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring deadlines are met
- Build long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service
- Mentor and support staff accountants while reviewing their work
- Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and client experience
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA license, CPA candidate (150 credit hours), EA designation, or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Five or more years of public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience with Thomson Reuters software is a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service
