Job Summary
Mid-State Marketing, LLC is currently accepting applications for a Route Sales CDL driver position at our Brookhaven, Mississippi branch. Mid-State Marketing is a master distributor of Borden brand milk and dairy products throughout the state of Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Route Sales Representative you are in charge of selling and merchandising Borden's complete line of quality dairy and food products to existing and new accounts while driving a company owned truck.
As an Outside Route Sales Representative you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Solicit new sales in existing accounts by offering the customer new and existing products that are not currently being sold to the customer.
- Develop a relationship with and provide service and products to existing customers that insures customer retention and customer loyalty.
- Solicit new sales to accounts not currently being served by Mid-State Marketing.
- Use a route computer system to generate sales invoices and track on-hand inventory.
- Reorder product to ensure that route truck remains fully stocked.
- Safely load, unload and deliver products to each account.
- Safely drive truck over established route territory to deliver, sell and stock products at customer locations.
- Perform daily motor vehicle inspections on route truck to conform to DOT regulations and company policies.
- Maintain the appearance of cooler displays in accounts and place sales displays and point-of-sales materials in accounts to promote sales.
- Collect payments from COD customers and make route deposits into the bank each day.
Qualifications and Skills
This is a physical job requiring the ability to climb, carry loads of more than 40 pounds, push/pull, bend, stoop and kneel numerous times throughout the day.
The applicant must possess a Class B Commercial Drives License with at least one year of driving experience with no motor vehicle violations.
Basic computer and math skills are required to successfully perform the job duties.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
