Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities. You will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including home health, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics, focusing on enhancing patients' quality of life through tailored care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct patient care in various settings such as home health, pediatric, patient, and outpatient environments.
- Support patients in developing skills necessary for daily living and working tasks.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes in compliance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and its application in therapy practices.
- Experience in home health, pediatrics, and outpatient settings is preferred but not necessary.
- Ability to assist patients with mobility and daily living activities effectively.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.

This is a hybrid position with in office and in home visits.
