Job Summary
323 Staffing Solutions is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian / Commercial Cleaner for a cleaning position at a church facility in the Clermont, FL area. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming campus environment.
The ideal candidate has experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or facilities maintenance and is comfortable performing routine cleaning, deep cleaning, event setup, and basic facility support tasks.
4:00PM to 11:00PM Schedule
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors throughout the facility
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, or carpet extractors as needed
- Empty trash, recycling, and designated waste receptacles safely and efficiently
- Perform deep-cleaning projects including washing walls, cleaning windows, dusting high fixtures, and stripping or waxing floors
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, furniture, and supplies
- Keep walkways, entrances, classrooms, and shared areas free of safety hazards
- Report maintenance issues such as plumbing, lighting, structural concerns, or equipment problems to a supervisor
- Follow proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, OSHA safety standards, and PPE requirements
- Respond quickly to facility needs during daily operations or events
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services, or facilities maintenance preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing daily priorities
- Comfortable working in a church or campus-style facility environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and kneel for extended periods
- Must be able to move tables, chairs, cleaning equipment, trash bags, and supplies as needed
- Must be able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
