Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including counting cash, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented to maximize sales.
- Stocking cooler keeping up with inventory, cleaning fuel pumps, mopping , cleaning bathroom, dusting, maintaining proper etiquette.
- Emptying multiple garbage cans
- Cooking food in fryer
- Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and promote featured items or new arrivals.
- Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person, ensuring clear communication.
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and monitoring product levels to prevent shortages.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or convenience retail environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly advantageous.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings.
- Bilingual abilities are valued to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive customer interactions.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
