Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and higher education mathematics.
- Implement IT-integrated lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex concepts.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, standardized exams, and project work; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school initiatives to ensure consistency and high-quality education delivery.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on coursework, college preparation, and career pathways in STEM fields.
- Incorporate educational technology tools such as interactive whiteboards, learning management systems, and digital resources into daily lessons.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports in compliance with educational regulations.
- Engage in professional development opportunities related to science teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and new educational technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience teaching high school students in a classroom setting with a strong focus on mathematics instruction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, organic chemistry, dissection techniques, laboratory experience, research methods, scientific research practices, and educational technology integration.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation for diverse student populations; experience working with students from various cultural backgrounds is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, mentoring students, and engaging parents or guardians.
- Experience working within educational compliance standards and understanding of standardized testing procedures.
- Ability to utilize laboratory equipment safely during dissection or microbiology activities; prior research laboratory experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of special education needs related to science instruction is a plus; experience in private school settings or Montessori environments is desirable.
