Harmony Pet Clinic is a locally, woman-owned veterinary clinic dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets. We also offer day care, boarding, and grooming services. We have been an established business for over 24 years and are conveniently located in Waukesha, WI. We are committed to improving the overall well-being of pets through compassionate care. Our dedicated team is looking to add another motivated member who can help to provide outstanding customer service to our amazing clients.
Duties:
- Greet clients and pets, and provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere
- Manage the front desk, including answering phones, responding to emails & texts, and scheduling appointments
- Appropriately manage client inquires, resolve concerns, and provide superb customer service at all times
- Conclude invoices, handle transactions (cash, check, credit cards), balance drawer at end of shift
- Handle medical records and maintain accurate and organized records
- Provide excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to clients and staff
- Maintain knowledge of veterinary terminology and concepts
- Escorting clients to rooms and obtaining base information on pet
- Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab areas well maintained
- Restrain animals in safe, efficient, and compassionate manner during exams and procedures
- Collect blood, urine, & stool samples. Run labs as directed.
- Nail trims, weight checks, with more duties to follow as you continue to be trained
Requirements:
-At least 1 year experience in customer service, reception, or administrative role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and concepts is helpful
- Ability to handle medical records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to conduct yourself in a calm, confident, & professional manner as you will be exposed to highly emotional and stressful situations
- Computer and multi-line phone literacy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively while displaying tact and maintaining respect with clients and staff
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to handle pets on a leash and/or restrain pets
