Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical history assessments and physical examinations for adult patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses utilizing evidence-based practices, including the interpretation of medical imaging and laboratory results.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Athena or other EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate care with specialists in fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, dermatology, psychiatry, and others as needed for comprehensive patient management.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusions, basic dermatological treatments, and other care when appropriate.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes to optimize long-term health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in outpatient primary care with familiarity in hospital medicine or inpatient settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Athena or similar platforms; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and clinical research methodologies relevant to internal medicine.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including suturing, airway management, and basic life support (BLS).
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service and education.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital settings, nursing homes, or urgent care centers is desirable. Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
