Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trailer systems, including brakes, suspensions, axles, and electrical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance such as tire service, lubrication, and inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of trailer components during repairs or upgrades to optimize vehicle performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with trailers for at least 2 years.
- Skilled in electrical system repair, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension alignment, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems on trailers and industrial equipment.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for fabrication or repairs.
