Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. This opportunity is for a single specialty outpatient GI center. Primarily supervision model. EMR. 1099 Independent Contractor Agreement so PRN. or part-time. Must be Board Certified, ACLS/BLS and carry own Malpractice Insurance. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional perioperative care. Duties
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing gastroenterology procedures. Adults only in outpatient setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures using advanced EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
- Conduct preoperative assessments to evaluate patient health status and develop tailored anesthesia plans
- Manage airway control and ventilation support during surgeries, including intubation and ventilator management
- Oversee postoperative recovery in settings like PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia and pain management
- Maintain detailed documentation of anesthesia administration, patient responses, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Post-residency experience in perioperative care and critical care environments preferred
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology related to anesthesia, and medical terminology
- Experience with airway management techniques including intubation and sedation protocols
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within hospital or surgical center settings
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse healthcare teams and educate patients about anesthesia procedures
