Responsibilities
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to 3-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles where applicable.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and structured routines.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by practicing effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child assessments and observations.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain current certifications such as first aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom strategies, and professional growth initiatives.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or daycare centers is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum plans that align with educational standards like Montessori or other preschool methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members is essential.
- Background in special education or early intervention programs enhances your candidacy.
- Classroom experience involving toddler care or preschool teaching will strengthen your application.
