Job Description
- Represent businesses and individuals in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
- Advise clients throughout the Chapter 11 process from case strategy through plan confirmation.
- Draft bankruptcy petitions, motions, pleadings, disclosure statements, and reorganization plans.
- Appear before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for hearings and contested matters.
- Negotiate with creditors, trustees, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
- Develop strategic solutions for financially distressed businesses.
- Maintain regular communication with clients while providing practical legal advice.
- Collaborate with attorneys across business, litigation, and insolvency matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
- 2+ years of bankruptcy law experience.
- Direct Chapter 11 debtor representation experience is required.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and client communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced practice.
